how do I help?

I help students who:

Read slow and choppy
Skip or add small words
Spell poorly
Avoid reading
Substitute words
Take a long time to do work
Avoid writing
Use fingers to count
Do not know math facts
Struggle with word problems

A's confidence level quickly built after a couple of sessions. It relieved some pressure because she had fewer distractions to contend with. Being comfortable, playing a couple of math games, and consistently practicing the basics gave A the strong foundation she needed.  Providing a tutor for your child is an investment that pays off over time.  As a parent, I was just as frustrated as my daughter was about doing homework and failing tests. Getting help was our saving grace in our relationship; I was able to spend quality time with her
